3D Printer Arena
In 3D printing, successive layers of material are formed under computer control to create an object. These objects can be of almost any shape or geometry and are produced from a 3D model or other electronic data source.
CNC - Laser Cutting & Etching Arena
Laser cutting and etching works by directing the output of a high-power laser most commonly through optics. The laser optics and CNC (computer numerical control) are used to direct the material or the laser beam generated.
Microprocessor Arena Adrunio - Raspberry Pi
A microprocessor is a computer processor that incorporates the functions of a computer’s central processing unit (CPU) on a single integrated circuit (IC), or at most a few integrated circuits. Microprocessors operate on numbers and symbols represented in the binary numeral system. We will be demonstrating cool projects like robots while showing their integration and providing you opportunities to explore programming.

JUNK Coaster Marble Mania
We want to create the largest marble roller coaster ever built. Can we do it? We have no idea. We don’t even know how to do it. That’s why we need you. Here’s the deal; we will supply a whole load of miscellaneous stuff to get this thing started. Stuff like wire, rope, cardboard, string, gears, motors, plastic tubes, paper tubes, tape, glue, marbles, etc. etc. etc. You get the point. However, in order to make this thing really big and unique we need lots of imagination and people to bring lots or things, anything they want (within reason – read guidelines for what “within reason” is) so your stuff can be added to the marble rollercoaster. The only rule is that whatever you design/build, must allow marbles rolling through it. It doesn’t even have to be the same size marbles as long as you can transaction between marble sizes. Build your invention at home, in school, at work, on the way to the festival or build it at the festival. We will have plenty of room for you to work, tool and supplies to use and lots of opportunities to collaborate (make friends) with others on this massive challenge.
Who doesn’t love to melt stuff and make things bind together? We’ll have soldering stations set up to teach you the best techniques. We will also have some real cool kits for purchase that you can practice you new found skills on.
